How to Stay Hydrated and Healthy in Summer

After long gloomy winter nights, long summer days bring happiness to many people.

People love to hike, swim, go to the beach, and do other fun activities in this season. Some issues like allergies, heat stroke, heat rash, food poisoning, and migraines are quite common in summers. Therefore, we must take good care of ourselves in this season.

Here are the simple ways to stay hydrated in summers. Check them out!

  • Drink a lot of Water

Drink a lot of Water

Stay hydrated in summer by drinking at least 12 glasses of water in a day.

You can force yourself to drink water by keeping a big water bottle with you wherever you go and by also putting reminders on your phone.

  • Swimming

A lot of people don’t like to run or exercise in summer because they sweat a lot. You can replace running with swimming in summer.

Swimming is a great exercise to burn calories and it also helps to cool the body down.

  • Eat Right

Fruit and vegetables such as watermelon, cucumber, lychee, pineapple, tomatoes, and pear. You should also add yogurt to your diet as it contains probiotics that are good for your guts. Avoid drinking coffee in the morning and replace it with refreshing and healthy smoothies. Also, avoid eating from outside and cook light food at home.

  • Take Cold Showers

Taking a cold shower is one of the best ways to manage body temperature. Showering every day with cold water will not only make us feel fresh but also free of germs, bacteria, and body odor. Whenever you are feeling agitated, take a cold shower and see how quickly your mood changes.

  • Wear Sunscreen

To protect your skin from aging and sunburn, always wear sunscreen with SPF 30 or greater. Also, keep sunscreen in your bag and reapply after sweating or swimming. Use moisturizers and makeup products that come with SPF to protect your skin.

  • Stay Indoor

Stay indoor between 10 am to 4 pm during summer to avoid heat stroke and sunburn.

If you have to go out during this time then wear a hat or a cap, apply sunscreen, and don’t forget to take a water bottle with you.

  • Wear Light Clothes

Another way to keep your body cool is to wear light clothes. Light clothes here mean clothes that are light in color, have loose fittings, and are made of breathable material. Light-colored clothing reflects light and dark-colored clothing absorbs it.

The more heat that is absorbed the hotter the clothing is and the hotter you are. Furthermore, light-colored clothing looks softer and cooler.

Our Yoga-Go Chill Out set is perfect to keep your body cool thanks to its super light fabric, and it comes in 6 different colors.
